“I found this cat yesterday. the lower body fur was cut off and right ear seems swollen. the cat was also very skinny. we lured her home and gave her food and water. rather tame and sweet natured. … Could metta help to broadcast and see if anybody lost the cat? I dont think I could keep the cat, abbie was all hissy and angry yesterday. Plus we are having some renovation works at the side garden/ yard. It’s quite a mess. The cat is outside the front of my house now, there’s shelter. Appreciate your help.

Update on Barnie: Yesterday, Barnie was discharged to SY’s care. Barnie is very very skinny (literally skin and bones underneath the hair). One of his ears is badly shrunk. His appetite is also not good. However he is ok with other cats.

Email on Barnie:
“We’ve adopted Barnie today. He seems to have settled well enough, and so do my cats and my aunt. He ate quite a fair bit this evening. ” ~loongtik~

I think he’s settling in. He’s sleeping lying down now so that’s good. We’ve trimmed his fur further so that it’s more even when it grows back out. He seems to prefer wet food to dry foo…d, and we noticed that his teeth are in bad shape (his mouth smells bad!). But otherwise, he’s a handsome fellow and is settling nicely.

My 4-month local stray is probably the most stressed by Barnie; the existing Persians are nonchalant. So typical…..

Subject: Update on Barnie
Here are some photos of Barnie lounging and sleeping in his favourite chairs.
He’s much stronger now, and can jump up to the chairs and beds. And also more relaxed – his sleeping position from when he first came home and now are such telling differences. And the other cats have accepted him, or rather they don’t bother each other.

For Adoption: Amber

20th February 2011
mms from SY
“This is Amber about 1 year+.
She appeared on cws site for adoption with her 4 kittens last year.
My son, Terry’s friend approached us to take her in because the person who sponsored her stay at a Pet Hotel in Lim Chu Kang, couldn’t afford her lodging anymore 🙁
Amber’s babies were out but no luck for Amber 🙁
We took her in few months ago.
She s beautiful and “kwai kwai” girl (“just love to be with humans”). There is no sponsor for her boarding so far! 🙁
She is bob-tailed and is of small built.”

Anyone who wishes to adopt her can send us an email here.
