I have 2 Persians cats that I need to give away. Due to some personal problems, we are not able to continue to take care of them. They are furry, though at 12 years of age, still very healthy. Putting them to sleep would be unevitable if there is no other place to take them. Can you call me at 98***** to see if you can help? I would appreciate hearing from you as soon as possible before I decide to let SPCA put them to sleep.
The Persians were collected from Lim’s mother-in-law on the 10th of May as Lim has already arranged with the SPCA to pick them. Lim was aware that the cats would be “put to sleep” in view of their age. Lim’s mother-in-law wanted to give the person who collected the cats from the home the $80 meant for the SPCA but this was NOT accepted.
The mother-in-law said that the reason the cats were to be given away was because her daughter-in-law was afraid of cats and that cats were “not healthy” (“bu wei sen”) around children.
The cats are now being fostered.
Yesterday, Xiao-Hei started to eat a little. Xiao-Bai was still stressed and not eating yet.
Once they are settled, they will be sent for grooming as their fur is not in good condition and their ears are dirty.

They are to be adopted as a pair as they have been together all the 12 years of their lives.
They are cats of wonderful temperament as they allows strangers to carry them in the arms without struggling.
