Introduction

Who we are

MettaCats is a volunteer group that aims to provide care for sick and abused animals. The word "Metta" means loving kindness and the name embodies the special bond that is share between humans and animals.

The ultimate objective is to rehome all rehabilitated cats and enable them to lead a comfortable life.

MettaCats adalah pertubuhan yang mempunyai misi untuk  memelihara kucing yang sakit dan didera.
Perkataan "Metta' bermakna kasih sayang dan nama yang menghubungkan ikatan istimewa antara manusia dan haiwan.
Objectif utama ialah menyediakan tempat tinggal dan rumah pemulihan  bagi memberi harapan baru dalam hidup.

Conseling dan perkhidmatan lanjutan juga disediakan  bagi memudahkan  pengambilan kucing-kucing ini.

爱心猫是为生病及被虐待的猫儿给以照顾的自愿团体。

“Metta” 的意思是爱心与仁慈，它连接着人类与动物间的特殊情感。

其主要目的是誏所有康复的猫儿重获新家，重新点燃新的生命火花。

提供咨询及跟进, 使领养猫儿服务更顺利。

Our Present Situation

There are now more than 100 cats boarding at metta cattery. The cattery is also giving shelter to a few dogs. The care-givers are a handful of cat lovers who volunteer their spare time. Daily tasks include general house-keeping, medicating ill cats and finding homes for them. Many have found good homes.

The volunteers also care for cats in the last lap of their lives, ensuring comfort till the last breath. The volunteers also shoulder the boarding fee, purchase of food/litter as well as vet fees.

Reward for the volunteers is the joy of seeing the cats recover and playing happily in the cattery. Bonus is to see a cat adopted to a permanent loving home.

The care of the cats and other animals at mettacattery is dependent on just a handful of care-givers who are all volunteers with full time jobs. The wish to help every cat and kitten in distress is limited by the lack of people offering hand-on help and the size of the cattery. Taking in any more cat or kitten will be taxing for the current volunteers on whom the lives of more than 120 cats and a few dogs depend.

现在有超过100只猫寄宿在爱心猫之家。 猫之家也给几只狗儿提供棲身之所。

少数的爱猫人士自愿利用他们的空闲时间给予照顾。每天的主要工作包括料理室内，喂生病的猫儿吃药和为它们寻找温暖的家。

义工们同时照顾那些将走完一生的猫儿，确保它们安逸的到最后一分钟。义工们同时负担寄宿费，购买食物和沙子，还有医药的费用。

看到猫儿复原和在猫之家开心的玩耍是给予义工们最欢欣的奖励。猫儿寻获永久温馨的家是最佳的回报。

爱心猫之家的猫和其他动物全部依赖一小部分拥有全职工作的义工们照顾，

短缺的人手愿意帮助每一只处于苦难中的猫儿，同时猫之家的空间有限。总共120只猫和几只狗依赖着他们，接收更多的猫儿将加重义工们的负担。
